Sally spent over ten years working as a professional dancer in musicals all over the UK and in Europe, in shows such as Sister Act and Saturday Night Fever. She then spent a year working in the Healthcare department of a major London-based Ballet Company, while undergoing her Level 3 qualification in Pilates. Sally now loves working with people to improve their strength, mobility and confidence through Pilates - whether they are total beginners to exercise, or athletes and dancers looking to improve their performance - and anywhere in between!
PILATES is a great workout for your whole body, building strength, mobility and coordination - things which we all need! Sally's varied classes aim to leave you feeling strong, balanced, challenged and energised - whether you are new to Pilates or more advanced.
Pilates works on your core strength, alongside mobility, coordination, posture, and overall strength. The focus on breathing can help with both energy and relaxation. Improving your posture and muscle tone can help you feel great about yourself. Getting stronger makes everything - from sport to everyday life - better and easier. Sounds pretty good, right?
Pilates could also enhance your sport performance - by building strength, mobility and coordination, and helping you recover from injury. Runners, tennis players, dancers, and many other sportspeople find that cross-training in Pilates makes a big difference.
Mixed ability matwork classes are suitable for all levels – Pilates exercises can be adapted in so many ways that everyone is welcome, and we all get a workout. Sally's classes use a mixture of Pilates matwork, small equipment, and functional strength work to keep things varied and interesting.
1-2-1 or small group sessions are great if you are really new to Pilates, have something specific you’d like to work on, are returning from injury, or if you are more advanced and want an individual challenge. Sally will tailor your sessions to your specific needs, so you should really feel the difference.
