I love being able to share the way yoga makes me feel with others. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a big smile and expression of relief on the face of my students at the end of a class! I then know I’ve achieved what I intended.
My strength lays in adapting poses to students for their own bodies, hence my statement: ‘Yoga with Anne, making yoga accessible for your body’.
‘Me Time’ yoga sessions are an opportunity take a break into the business of life and through the wonderful practice of yoga, come home to ourselves. Using breath and movements, we seek the union of mind and body and connect with our essence nature.
As the day comes to an end, classes start with a presencing introduction, usually combining breath awareness with a guided meditation. We then go through a warm-up, standing flows and end with mat work before diving into a well-needed relaxation at the end.
In my classes, I empower my students to make the right choices for their practice, offering lots of options for them to choose from depending on how their body feel at the time of the class.
I use relaxing music and essential oils to create a relaxing atmosphere. I provide a good range of props (straps, blocks and bricks) and actively encourage their use when suitable.
