I am a qualified 500hr Yoga Therapist for mental health, with The Minded Institute. I am also a secondary school teacher, and have worked for many years with young people who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Yoga is at the heart of my own wellbeing and I am passionate about sharing this.

Yoga therapy is a holistic 1:1 therapy that brings together yoga postures, breathing practices, mindfulness, relaxation and psychological support to enhance wellbeing and improve mental health.

In a yoga therapy session I will use the different elements of yoga and mindfulness to treat specific issues and conditions. Working one-to-one, I will create a tailored programme to support your individual needs.
We will explore which postures are useful for energising and which are useful for bringing calm to your system. By learning how to be with the variety of sensations in the body you simultaneously develop the ability to be with challenging emotions in a more grounded and gentle way.
Techniques are grounded in both modern medical and scientific understanding of the body and brain as well as ancient yogic wisdom, encouraging integration of mind, body and spirit. Current research informs us that a comprehensive programme involving both body and mind is the most effective way to approach mental health
