What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a natural state of deep relaxation and mental alertness which is achieved using techniques similar to guided meditations. Being in a deeply relaxed state allows you to focus your attention on the aspects of your life you would like to alter in a constructive context.
Focusing on what you want from life and setting clear, defined goals will allow you to change your behaviour in a very direct and effective way. We can help you change the way you think, changing
the sub-conscious reactions you have to situations or stresses which will enable you to take control of your life without the intervention of medications or invasive treatments.
What is CBT?
CBT shows you how to change and develop
alternative ways of thinking things through. This allows you to try out new ideas and strategies to find alternatives to toxic thoughts or unhelpful behaviours.
CBT is a great tool to assist in changing your behaviours and reactions by focusing on how you maintain your problems and not the root cause. Sometimes it is the coping mechanism we choose to protect ourselves with that does the most long term damage, without us being aware that we are self sabotaging.
What is NLP?
Neuro linguistic programming (NLP) is a
revolutionary approach to communication and personal development, sometimes referred to as the art and science of personal excellence.
What exactly does NLP mean?
Neuro - your nervous system and how you utilise it. We experience the world through our senses and we will each have a different way of processing this information.
Linguistic – your language patterns, how we give meaning to experience through the use of language. You communicate your conscious and unconscious thoughts verbally and non verbally.
Programming – the ways in which we consistently think or behave. We have specific behaviour patterns that we have learned over years. We all develop automatic responses to cope with everyday life and are usually unaware of the steps that lead us to the response because they are habits we have used over a period of time. Just like a computer program, these behaviours can be modified and changed if they are unhelpful.
